AWMC Welcomes New Faculty Advisor

The Ancient World Mapping Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Henry Gruber of the UNC History Department as its new faculty advisor! A specialist in the late Roman world, Dr. Gruber earned his Ph.D. at Harvard University, where he worked closely with Mapping Past Societies (formerly the Digital Atlas of Roman and Medieval Civilization). He replaces Dr. Richard Talbert, who enters a richly deserved retirement after 24 years of invaluable leadership and service to the Mapping Center.
